Loboe Wrestling Action – Dec 8th, 2023 - Frpm Coach Matt Hebl. The Loboe Wrestling team hosted the Linton-HMB Lions on Friday, Dec 8th, for their first home competition of the season. The Lions came to town shorthanded missing some kids due to illness and the weather also prevented some of their Jr High kids from making the trip. The Loboes would roll to a victory in dominant fashion in front of the home fans by a 60-6 score. The team was without some regular starters in the lineup, but Andre and Jayden picked up the slack. Andre was able to get a first period pin in his varsity debut. Jayden also picked up a forfeit win and then pinned his opponent in prelim action. Joey and Logan picked up back-to-back pins at 121 and 127lbs and Henry also pinned his opponent in the 172lbs bout. Zack , John , Dustin , and Gavin also notched victories for the team. Grayson also got a 1st period pin in his prelim match. Unfortunately, the LaMoure Invitational was cancelled due to weather on Saturday morning. The next Loboe wrestling team action will be on Thursday, Dec 14th as the team will host the Oakes Tornadoes and the Northern Cass Jaguars in a Tri-meet. The Loboes will battle the Jaguars around 5:45pm and then take on the Tornadoes around 7:00pm. This is also parents night for the Wrestlers with parents and athletes being recognized around 7:00pm. The Varsity will then travel to Linton for the 2-day Holiday tournament on Friday and Saturday, Dec 15th and 16th. Action starts at 3:00pm on Friday and 9:00am on Saturday.
