The Litchville Marion School Board will be tentatively holding a school board meeting on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at 6:00 pm. The meeting will be broadcast for viewing and participation, due to the COVID-19 attendance limits.

NOTICE: LITCHVILLE – MARION SCHOOL BOARD ELECTION FILING INFORMATION:

The papers for filing may be obtained by an email sent to me at cindy.vogel@k12.nd.us. The paper needs to be notorized and returned to me by Monday, March 30, 2020 at 3:30 PM. For now, papers can be mailed to: PO Box 100, Marion, ND 58466 or emailed to Cindy.vogel@k12.nd.us. The original, notorized paper must be submitted to me by April 4, 2020, if you choose to submit the intent by email.

The Litchville-Marion School District will hold its annual election on Tuesday, June 2, 2020.

There will be two positions on the Litchville-Marion School Board which are up for election – both are three year terms.

One director shall be from Geographical Area #1, which is all the area that lies north of North Dakota Highway 46 and West of a North-South line 1 mile West of Barnes County Highway 11. This position is currently held by Krista Johnson.

One director shall be from Geographical Area #4, which is all the area that lies south of North Dakota highway 46 and West of the East borders of Sheridan, Grandview and Grand Rapids Townships. This position is currently held by Kyle Severance.

Any candidate for election as a member of the school board of the Litchville-Marion School District must be a resident of the geographical area he/she represents.

Also on the ballot will be the question of publishing the proceedings of the school board minutes.

If interested in being a candidate, you must file with Cindy Vogel, Business Manager of the board, not less than sixty four (64) days before the election and before 3:30 pm on the sixtieth fourth day a Statement of Intent . The last day for filing for election on the school board is Monday, March 30, 2020.

The Litchville – Marion School Board will be holding a Special Meeting on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at the Litchville Marion High School in Marion, ND. The meeting will be at 6:00 PM.
